SSC MTS 2022
Like the SSC GD, SSC MTS 2022 is a national-level examination conducted for various non-gazetted and non-ministerial posts in various departments of the government of India. It is also conducted by the SSC every year. By appearing and clearing the SSC MTS 2022, candidates can get into posts like peon, jamadar, chowkidar, cleaner, Junior Gestetner Operator, gardener, havaldar, dietary, and so on. Syllabus of SSC MTS 2022
The SSC MTS 2022 examination consists mainly of two papers. The first paper is objective while the second paper is subjective. For the post of the Havaldar, a physical efficiency test or a physical standard test is also conducted. Both the papers for this examination have a different syllabus. It is important for candidates to go through these topics in detail and prepare accordingly so as to secure good marks and pass this examination in one go.
Paper 1 of the examination consists of four different sections, namely, English language, numerical ability, reasoning, and general awareness. Let us look into the topics contained in these sections.
- English language: Fill in the blanks, phrases, idioms, error spotting, reading comprehension, spellings, antonyms, synonyms, sentence correction, and one-word substitution.
- Numerical ability: Interest, simplification, profit and loss, percentage, number series, number system, mensuration, mixture problem, data interpretation, time and work, problem on ages, average, ratio and proportion, speed, distance, and time.
- Reasoning: Analogy, matrix, coding-decoding, missing numbers, direction, classification, blood relations, puzzles, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning.
- General Awareness: Science, award and honours, portfolios, static general knowledge, important dates, important days, and Current affairs.
SSC GD Exam Pattern
The SSC GD examination conducted by the SSC is categorized into four different stages which are Computer-based examination, physical efficiency test, physical standard test, and detailed medical examination. Computer-based examination, as the name suggests, is an online test that consists of MCQs and objective-type questions. It has four different sections, namely, General Knowledge and General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi. The Physical Efficiency Test is conducted by the SSC to determine the physical fitness of a candidate. He/ She needs to run a race which is then followed by a technology-aide identification test. Physical Standard Test assesses the physical standards of an individual on the basis of factors like chest, weight, and height. Detailed Medical Examination is conducted for those candidates who pass the previous two tests. In this exam, candidates are examined medically by the authorized medical boards.
