If you own a startup, then you’re probably careful about where your money goes and you may not want to purchase huge, luxurious office space. But with the right layout, design, and furniture, you can actually come up with a small office that promotes collaboration, creativity, and comfortability. One piece of furniture that can help improve the aesthetics of your small office space, is a tolle cabinet, which is often made of solid oak that features big interior shelving. It’s a great use of wall space and provides great storage and the design is awesome. There are other creative ways too you can organize your small office. These include the following:

    Having Modular Stations

Often, a modular station includes a desk, storage, chair, and partial walls for separating your staff members. It provides your staff with a place to work without sharing a small station with other members. Also, this setup is often space-efficient and lets you fit some employees into the common area while ensuring they are comfortable.

    Using Vertical Storage

Your office must house essential documents, equipment, and supplies. Rather than giving up floor space, consider using vertical storage solutions such as tolle cabinets. Also, organizers that tend to fit behind supply closet doors are a good investment for your office.

    Keep Like Items Together

When you organize a small office space, organize items together to save time and energy finding them. For instance, writing tools such as pens, markers, and pencils can be stored in a divided container. Ensure quick and easy bookkeeping by organizing your financial items such as checkbooks, ledgers, and calculators in one place.

    Creating a Multi-Purpose Room

Often, a small office does not have sufficient space for dedicated meeting rooms and cafeterias. So, if you need these spaces, you can make a multi-purpose room equipped with a table or desks that can be moved easily for different functions. Just ensure you designate times for every purpose. For instance, a conference room can be used in the morning while a break room for lunch.

    Get Rid of Clutter

Regardless of how carefully you plan and design your small office space, it can feel even smaller when it is packed with clutter. To avoid this, minimize your use of décor and wall art, so the vertical space is kept clear and open. Also, this can encourage your employees to keep their workstations clean. Place a small trash bin at every station along with sufficient filing cabinet storage space where your staff can place essential supplies not in use.
